Activism Explosion: art for social messages
September 9-15, 2019 – Leszno
Between September 9 and 15, Francesca and Gabriele, two of L’Orma’s participants, travelled to Leszno (Poland) for an Erasmus+ Training Course on Activism Explosion. The TC was organised by f-Fundacja Centrum Aktywności Twórczej, who selected two participants from 9 partner countries (Croatia, Italy, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Belgium, France, Romania, Greece and Portugal).
The aims of the project were:
- The creation of best practices, internationalisation of teaching thanks to cooperation;
- Increase the professional qualifications for people who work with young people;
- Build a network of contacts to strengthen the potential of people in such a way to create in organisations a dynamic environment, working with young people using creative and efficient methods who will answer to the constant change and needs derived from the present socio-political situation in Europe.
Participants learned teaching techniques and street art techniques, organising various events (flash mob, performances, games…), aimed at involving people and transmitting social messages. In these historical times characterized by increasing fear and closemindedness, the most important thing is to favour communication between people, and art can be a wonderful and efficient way to break down barriers and to speak from the heart.
