FitForKids EU
Erasmus+ Sport – Small Collaborative Partnership
We had the honour to participate in the second transnational meeting of FitForKids EU Project within the framework of Small Collaborative Erasmus + Sport Partnership on 6th April, 2019 in Torino.
Vol.To – Centro Servizi Volontariato Torino hosted the event where the other partner organizations – FitForKids DK (Denmark) and Aventura Marão Clube AMC (Portugal) – were also present.
The objective of the project is to combat childhood obesity as it has become a major health concern in developed countries.
L’Orma has been running successfully the FitForKids program in Milan and in Torino.
The aim of this meeting was discussing how to expand the program, how to reach and help as many children and families as possible.
The FitForKids program was launched in Denmark in 2007 to offer training courses, nutritional advice and guidance to kids and their parents on how to live a healthier and more balanced life. The program has been proven very effective, thousands of children have participated in Danish municipalities and in other European countries. The physical trainings are not about doing exercise, they are about creating a fun environment where kids enjoy being active.
